Ruth Trotter

Ruth Trotter, 98, passed away peacefully on September 30.
She is survived by the family she loved and treasured especially Bob, her devoted husband of 67 years, her daughters, Linda (Jeff) Lund and Suzi (Glenn) Erickson, grandchildren, Kathy (Rod) Novak, Jim (Carrie) Ferris, Tom (Cheryl) Ferris, Kristi (Lonnee) Vandenheuvel, Becky (Bill) Louk, and Robb Oler. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and her granddaughter Joan Wagener.
Born in Milwaukee, Ruth's family moved to Des Moines when she was three. She worked at what was then Bankers Life for several years, was a member of Eastern Star and a nearly life-long member of Grand View Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Hamilton's Funeral Home at 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Services will be at Grand View Lutheran Church, East 13th and Hull in Des Moines at 10 a.m., October 5, with interment at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are preferred to Grand View Lutheran Church.
