Gary J. McDowell, 67, passed away on April 4, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was born on December 20, 1947 to James and Patricia (Ethington) McDowell.
He is survived by his sons, Mike and Joe; best friend and companion, Ruthie; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry; and sisters, Debbie and Julie.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines.
