Robert W. Rogers

In loving memory of Robert Wesley Rogers. Known as Rob, Bobby, or Snake to family and friends. Robert made his transition on April 4, 2015, at the age of 36.

Rob was born in Chicago, IL, on July 24, 1978 to his mother, Miriam Rogers and late father, Wesley E. Rogers.

Robert gave his life to the church at 12 years old. He attended Chicago State University. He also received a certificate of completion from North Lawndale Employment network where he gave an outstanding speech to the graduates.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Uwakari O. Rogers, Jhanero E. Rogers, Jhadamian Rogers; stepdaughter, Mia Coda; mother, Mariam Rogers; brothers, Damone Griffin and Earle K. White; sister, Mary L. Turner; niece, Niya T. White; nephew, Damone D. Griffin; and a host of cousins and relatives.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Services in Illinois: Wake will begin at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Devine Mercy Seat MBC Baptist Church, 15209 Page Ave., Harvey, IL 60426.
