Barbara Hostetter, 61, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015. She was born April 6, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa. Barbara was a member of UAW Union 1672. She was a collector and enjoyed going to garage sales. Above all, her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving sons, Tom Cleghorn and Dean Bentley; step-sons, Tim Hostetter and Gabe Hostetter; sisters, Kathy Eshelman and Mary Gilmore; brother, Elbert Haynes; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Pieters; and her son, Larry Bentley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8th at the funeral home with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in loving memory of Barbara.

I am so happy Barb and I reconnected a few years ago! We were childhood friends and did our share of getting into trouble! I will miss you dearly Barb! My heart goes out to the family that she loves so much!! Rest In Paradise my friend!!

Our prayers and sympathy for the family. She was a sister to me for so many years. I didn't talk to her often but I will miss her gentle self. We will always remember the egg rolls she made for us! Love you, Barb.
