Tasha Rene McElvogue, 25, was born May 14, 1989 and passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer.

Tasha had a zest for life and truly lived life to the fullest. She had a few idols she really looked up to, including Marilyn Monroe, Anna Nicole Smith, Loretta Lynn and Bonnie and Clyde. Tasha loved animals, especially horses. She had a special place in her heart for Kevin, and truly loved him unconditionally. Above all else, Tasha cherished the special moments spent with her family.

Tasha is survived by her parents, Thomas T. and Candy McElvogue and LaDawn and Ross Besaw; grandparents, Berneice Thomas and William McElvogue; siblings, Crystal McElvogue, Thomas McElvogue, Jr., James McElvogue, Johnny McFadden, Nikki McFadden and Kayla Lohner; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Xavier, Xayden, Maison, Spencer and Jonathan; aunts and uncles, James (Tammy) Kendrick, Ginger (Doug) Avey, William (Ellie) McElvogue, Laurie (Jimmy) Cronin and Billy (Joann) Kendrick; numerous cousins; other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Virgil and Coleen Thomas; grandmother, Virginia Kendrick; brother, David McElvogue; aunt, Tammy Kendrick and her great-aunt, Delores (Gerald) Palmer.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
