Lisa Karnes

Lisa R. Karnes passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines with her loving family beside her. Lisa was born on June 30, 1962 to Marlene (Deets) and Lawrence Gale in Des Moines.

Lisa was a long-time south sider and spent many years serving the people she loved at Francie’s. She loved gardening, cooking for her family but most of all she LOVED spoiling and spending time with her grandkids.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Those left behind to forever cherish her memory are her husband, Steven; her sons, Justin (Lisa), Jeremy and Adam; grandchildren, Alizabeth, Maya, Shelby, Aaron, William, Nolan; her parents, Marlene and Lawrence; sisters, Tammy and Kelly; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and beloved friends. She will forever be missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother, Rick.
