Linda Dobbs

Linda Marcia Dobbs, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street from ovarian cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Linda was born June 12, 1945 to Marceau and Elizabeth Howard Des Planque in Des Moines, Iowa. Linda’s mother preceded her in death when she was only 13 and her Aunt Betty Howard raised her. Linda married Jack Dobbs in 1992 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua, Iowa. Jack and Linda were happily married and devoted to each other for 13 years.
Linda worked for EDS for forty-one years. She loved playing tennis, being with friends, and camping with Jack.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack, aunt Betty, and sister, Marlene.
Linda is survived by her stepmother, Vera Des Planque; sisters, Rhonda Morgan and Laura Davis; brother, David Des Planque; her beloved cat, Chloe; aunt and uncle, Richard and Alice Dicks; uncle, Donald and Shirley; cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Central Iowa.
