David Conner

David Jason Conner, 24, passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest due to anaphylactic shock on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana. David was born on February 18, 1991 in Des Moines to Robert II and Susan (Wells) Conner. In death, David saved the lives of others by donating his organs.

David attended Dowling Catholic High School and graduated from Faith Academy. He went on to attend DMACC and recently received his SBCA certification through his job installing satellite dishes. David was a gifted artist and loved being outdoors. He was always up for any adventure whether it be fishing, biking, camping, golfing, zip lining or white water rafting. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature. David approached life full force and always left his family with an “I love you.”

Those left behind to cherish and honor his memory are his parents, Dr. Robert and Susan Conner; siblings, Robert III (Kayla), Jennifer and Michael; nephew, Robert IV; aunts and uncles, Julie (Steve) Heideman, Stephen Conner, Rhonda (Bob) Schulz, Patricia (James) Clark, Sara Bullock (Mike Burnhart) and Jason (Mandi) Wells; and many cousins and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Emily Noelle Conner; niece, Alexis Marie Conner; paternal grandparents, Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Conner; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Colleen Wells.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Ave., Des Moines. He will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 16th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St., Des Moines with a Vigil Service to start at 7:00 p.m. Additional parking at Christ the King with shuttling provided by the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a cause close to David’s heart.
