Burt Grazier, 86, passed away of cancer at her home in Des Moines on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born to Ruth and Delno Cole on October 3, 1928.
Burt enjoyed playing cards, bowling and visiting casinos throughout her many travels. Her and her husband owned and operated Holiday Pools for many years.
Burt is survived by her five daughters, Connie (Bob) Brown, Diana (Larry) Hay, Joan (Randy) Graham, Pam (Bret) Hamill, and Mary (Tim) Laidig; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grazier Jr.; and son, Charles Grazier III.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Boline Manfredi VFW Post 9662, 1309 NE 66th Ave, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Burt.

I am so sorry to hear of Burt's passing. She was my mother's first friend when she moved here from Virginia at the age of 14 and throughout her life was one of her very best friends. I wish we had known so that we could have attended her services. She will truly be missed!

So sorry I couldn't be with your family today as you celebrate Bert's life. I will always remember Bert as a person very full of life. Her and Chuck were great people. It takes a great person to guide her family through life. Bert did a good job as a mother and friend. Her memory will live a long time in all who knew her. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Diana, So sorry to hear about your mom. I have many fond memories of spending time with u at her house when u guys lived in Des Moines. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Larry and the rest of the family. Praising God that your Mom has no more pain and is in the arms of Jesus. Praise God for the hope that we have in him. Dear Angels in heaven you have one wonderful lady in your arms now. Please open your pearly gates to heaven so she can be with her loved ones! I know her job was done her on earth , she helped and mothered all! Please let her rest in peace and watch over her family. Who will miss hear dearly as I will also Miss her laugh and kind words!
