Mildred James

Mildred McGregor James, 101, a resident of Calvin Community in Des Moines, passed away September 27, 2007. Mrs. James was born March 4, 1906, married Harold James in 1929 and they were the parents of three children, Wesley, Helen and Kay.
She was a school teacher in Adams County for many years, and later in Polk County. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Altoona.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Helen of Indiana and Kay of Nebraska; a sister, Helen of Clearfield IA. Her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends will remember her patience, foresight, and kind nurturing.
