Cheryl Vitiritto

Cheryl E. Vitiritto, 71, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Glendale Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by visitation until service time at the church. Please join us in giving thanks to God for a life graciously and faithfully lived!
Cheryl was born July 20, 1936 in Decorah, IA to Charles and Mildred (Gossman) Jennisch. She was the Chief of Public Relations for Job Service of Iowa until her retirement in 1999. Cheryl was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a devoted Iowa Hawkeye fan and an avid reader who loved spending time with her family, friends and her beloved pets.
Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Makhdoom) Vitiritto-Khan, Elizabeth (Mike) Brown, Bernadette (AJ) White, Catherine (Chris Anderson) Vitiritto and Jennifer (Clancy Maudsley) Vitiritto; brother, Bernard Jennisch; sister, Margaret Perkins; grandchildren, Nick, Sam, Aiden, Freeman and Cheryl; and her dogs, Buster and Scooter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Bob Moses in 1967, and her second husband Jim Vitiritto in 1992.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Companion Animal Fund at Iowa State Veterinarian School or to her church.
