Joseph J. Starkovich, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Visitation Catholic Church with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Joseph was born March 5, 1917 in Dallas, IA. He served in the campaign for the South Pacific during WWII. Joseph retired from John Deere.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Anne; daughter, Sheila and her husband, David Lingwall; and two grandchildren, Michael and Anne.

Sheila and Aunt Annie and David:
I am so very sorry to hear about Uncle Joe's passing from this life. I wish that I could be there. One day I will. It just did not work out this summer; but it is a very high priority travel.
Sheila, thnak you for the touch. I know this is very difficult; but you know that your dad is in a much better place where he is resting and enjoying all of the treasured memories.

Anne, Aunt Sheila, Uncle Dave, Mike and Anne,
A smile comes to our faces as we recall the fun family events with "Grandpa Joe's" gentle presence... Our prayers and with you in this sad time. He was a great man!
