Joe A. Kline, 87, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Joe was born March 30, 1927 in Haydock, Iowa to Thomas and Leora June Kline. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, occupation force in Germany with the 485th Engineers. Joe married Roma Jane Richards on December 30, 1946 in Kingman, Kansas. He retired from Firestone in 1985 after many years of service.
Joe is survived by his sons, Thomas (Barb) Kline, William (Debbie) Kline and Joe (Debbie) Kline; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roma.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street beginning at 9 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Roma at the Chariton Cemetery in Chariton, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Sorry to hear of your loss, we are truly now the old group that our parents talked about at the family reunions..I look at the pictures we have from the fun times when we were are young and crazy and had our parents "saying I remember when we used to act like that". The sad thing is we are so far apart now, when we were growing up could ride our bikes to visit. Even to see Grandpa and Grandma was only a hour car ride. Thank GOD we have the memories, cherish them as we do. My deepest sympathy to you all.
