Charmetta Enos, 80, departed this life Saturday, February 14, 2015.

Charmetta was born January 18, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa to Columbus and Georgia (Fox) Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Charmetta was very spiritual and had a love of life. She had a wonderful disposition and was always laughing. Charmetta was very social and enjoyed gathering with friends to play bingo and drink coffee. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her loved her, and she in turn loved everyone. She was very kind-hearted to all and will be remembered as a caring and giving person.

Charmetta is survived by her daughters, Carmelita Prokopiou and Denise Clark; grandchildren, Nicholas Baney, Paige Elizabeth Baney, and Aurora Andrea Prokopiou; siblings, Dianne Johnson, Robert Jones, Ronald Jones, Donald Jones, and Columbus Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chuck Enos; and her siblings, Julia Jones, Shirley Miller, Ella Mae Colton, Berneice Rollins, and Dorothy Grime.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Grace Church, 4200 E 25th Street, Des Moines, IA 50317. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Church in Charmetta’s memory.
