Margaret Louise Pierce

Margaret Pierce, 81, passed away on February 7, 2015 at Kavanagh House on 56th. She was born on July 23, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to John and Essa (Law) Calvert.

Margaret worked as a data base commissioner for the Iowa Lottery for many years. She was a member of Ft. Des Moines Presbyterian Church. Margaret enjoyed gardening, painting, reading, and was a lover of music and her family.

She is survived by her children, Erich (Tami), Brian, Leslie (Todd) and Todd (Pam) Lage; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nadine Hogate and Dorothy Shoup. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, William Pierce; and her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. The family will greet friends following the service.
