Ellen Vanderpool

Ellen Arena Vanderpool, 82, of Carlisle died on September 22, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Ellen was employed with Tones Brothers Spice Co. in Des Moines for over 40 years. She and her husband Lloyd were owner-operators with Smithway Motor Express with Smithway Trucking. She loved camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Lloyd of Carlisle; her daughter Connie (John) Anderson of Mitchellville; her son Terry Nystrom (Sat Jiwan) of Des Moines; her sisters LaVaughn Dyer and Colleen Bonanno both of Des Moines as well as her grandchildren Ben Anderson of Des Moines and Sarah Johnson of Mitchellville.
