Carolyn McGoldrick

Carolyn Sue McGoldrick, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from complications of kidney disease. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11 also at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born July 18, 1943 to Margaret and Dwight Crosby. She was a past member of the KO Chapter of the PEO. She worked at the Republican Party Headquarters for many years, and she was always up to date on all of the latest politics and politicians. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed keeping up with her grandchildren and their activities.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Christy (David) Bierma and Stephen (Sheila) McGoldrick; her grandchildren, Alec and Abbey Bierma, and Rebecca and Taylor McGoldrick; and her former husband, Pat McGoldrick. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Doug.
