Dear Joyce & Family: I extend to you and your children my heart felt sympathy. Dale was always kind and had nice gentle nature. I feel his influence for good was far reaching in church, school, and the community. While we mourn his passing we are resigned to the Divine Will and will keep his consecrated life of service in our memories with you and Dale. He will be missed! We shall keep you in our prayers.

Joyce and family, we just heard today of your great loss to you and your family but Heavens gain. We have been long time friends since Airport Baptist and all the great times and memories with all our friends. Enjoying Hawkeye games together. Now we will miss his company and just seeing him in church 2 weeks ago always with a smile and telling us he is doing well.. May God comfort you, wrap his arms around, and walk with you during your days ahead. So happy that Dale was and is part of the family of God and knowing we will see him again.

Just happened to be scouring the Des Moines Register and came across the name Dale Gast. I
recalled the names of dale and Joyce from my mermories as a young man. I am 56 years old now but he left an impression on me for the work he did with the youth at Airport Baptist Church.
Thank you Dale and Joyce for that and I know the Lord welcomed him with the words "Well done my good and faithful servant.

We're so sorry for the loss of a very nice and fun guy. He was very sweet. We're remembering you as this parting isn't easy. Sorry he was "cut off" so soon in life, but we know he is now whole and enjoying being in the presence of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mr.Gast is a man I'll never forget! He had the privilege of being my principal threw my most rebellious days. I'll never forget how angry I made him and he'd turn red.
But we came to an understanding and I learned to respect him and he taught me a lot!! A huge impact on my life, one I look back on and am thankful for cause he truly cared!!
Rest in peace Mr.Gast and thank you!!
