We always enjoyed our visits at our Friday night bar. He shared a lot of proud moments and stories of his children and he loved his grand children and spoke often about them. He shared photos with us. We all had so many laughs and great conversations. Jim will be missed and he will be remembered. Be proud of your father. He was a good man.

Jeff, Mark, Dana, Dawn, and Joyce,
We are sorry for the loss of your father and companion. We both worked for Jim at DDS. He must have been a good teacher as Joelle went on to be a Quality Assurance Specialist and I became DDS Director! I always enjoyed his dry sense of humor, and we needled one another about our favorite athletic teams, I being a Cyclone fan. Best regards to all of you.

Jeff, Mark, Dana and Dawn, we were so sad to learn of your father's passing. He was our first cousin - we are the kids of Madge Jones Phillips, your grandmother Elma's sister. I'm afraid we didn't keep in touch the way we should have over the years. But I remember your dad as our "big cousin" - he was older than us and the trailblazer. First off to college, first to marry (my sister Robin was an attendant), first to have kids. I always remember him as a lovely man kind, warm and gentle. He was the perfect mix of his parents, of whom we were all very fond. Losing a parent, no matter how old we are, is a hard thing. But remember that he had a good, long life and did so much to help others. A life well lived. Our thoughts are with you all.
