Dee Landsberger, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 2, 2015 at Mill Pond Senior Living in Ankeny. She was born on January 24, 1923 to Larin and Flora (Williams) Frakes.

Dee graduated from Lincoln High School. She retired as a secretary from the IRS after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, playing cards and spending time with cherished family and friends. In her retirement, she loved spending winters in Florida with her beloved husband of 63 years, John.

She is survived by her children, John (Mary) Landsberger and Carol (Robert) Nading; grandchildren, Lisa Landsberger, Jennifer (Brandon) Kern, Marisa (Judd) Oakes, Allison (Matthew) Untrauer, Carly (Paul) Bridden, Darren (Dena) Fife and Bethany Landsberger; step-grandchildren, Ben (Stacy) and Jake (Breanna) Nading; 9 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Mark; grandsons, Matthew Fife and Scott Landsberger; parents; brothers, Sonny Frakes, Vear, Louis and Marion Douglas; sisters, Geneva Douglas and Laura Millard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Saylorville Church, 6429 Northwest 6th Drive, Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
