Samuel Fay Crowe, Jr.

Samuel F. Crowe, Jr., was born July 20, 1955, to Samuel and LaVonnye Crowe in Des Moines. He passed away at the Iowa Veterans Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Samuel was a carpenter most of his life. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of Amvets Post 2 in Highland Park. Samuel enjoyed fishing, being outside and building things with wood.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Joni; two brothers; four sisters; and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive in Adel. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Sammy was and will always be special to us!! He was family to us and our children!! We loved him like a father and we will miss him dearly!! I just know that he's not in pain anymore and he's up there looking down saying " humma humma"! Love you Sammy may you finally rest without any pain.
