Paul Bishop

Paul D. Bishop, 78, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 26, 2015.
Paul was born on October 28, 1936. He served in the Iowa National Guard during the Korean Conflict. Paul loved dancing and country music, laughter, puppies and slot machines.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Debby Bishop Nielsen, Teri (Roger) Miller, a son, Tim Bishop; grandchildren Mandy (Dennis) George & Brittany Miller, Tyler (Trisha) Nielsen; his ex-wife & companion of 60 years, Rosie Bishop; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Marty Nielsen, seven sisters and five brothers along with his parents and many nieces and nephews.
He was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Debbie, Tim, and Terri we are so sorry for your loss. May God grant you his peace and may he draw you all even closer to each other through this loss. I am so sorry for your loss. I know its not easy because I have lost my Mom. The comforting thing is that he is no longer suffering and is in a better place. My Mom has her best buddy with her. Love you Uncle Paul
