Virginia L. Watts

Virginia Watts, 90, passed away at Mercy Hospice in Johnston on January 24, 2015. She was born March 9, 1924, in Leavenworth, Indiana, the daughter of James and Lelah Coovert.
Virginia loved spending time with her family and traveling to Kentucky to visit her brother. She enjoyed reading, listening to country music, traveling, and going out to eat.
Virginia is survived by her children, Mary (John) Willard, Sandy (Terry) Battani, Judy (David) Longcor, Margaret “Marti” (Don) Glick, and Debbie (Dale) Giles; son-in-law, Mark Blizek; grandchildren, Julie, Laura, Wendy, Terry Jr., Jon, Ann, Lisa, Traci, Sharon, Brian, Theresa, Stacie, Dale Jr., Mike Jr., and Rebecca; 31 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter, Cynthia Blizek; 8 siblings, 2 infant grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild, as well as her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation being held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston in loving memory of Virginia.

So sad to hear that Aunt Jenny has passed. Mom always held her close to her heart. The two are now reunited. Sending prayers for Aunt Jenny and her family.
