Peggy Hogue, 53, passed away Thursday, September 20 at Mercy Hospice.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family will miss her sense of humor, her loving smile, her unconditional love and her Sunday dinners.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Everett; her children, Everett (Tracy) and Chasity (Chad); her nephew and niece, Rob (Kim) and Melinda Fast; her mother, Sadie Barber; her brother, Arthur (Pam) Root; her sister Vicki (Dennis) Betts; brother-in-law, Lanny Fast; grandchildren Thomas, Randi, Jamie, Robert, Josie, Juan and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Root; her brother, Jimmy Root; and her sister, Becky Fast.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines on Monday, September 24 at 1:00 pm. The family will be present for visitation beginning at 12:30 pm.

My deepest sympathies go out to your family. I worked with Peg for such a long time at Dun & Bradstreet. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife & friend. While I haven't seen her in a long time, I still considered her my friend. She would often speak about her family and would light up, especially when talking about the grandkids. I will keep your family in my prayers.
