Arnold Howard

Arnold Howard, 84, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Arnold was born February 26, 1923. He served in the Navy and the Merchant Marines during WWII. Arnold worked as a building contractor. He was a Mason for over 50 years and enjoyed camping, fishing, winters in Texas and spending time with his family and his dogs, Heidi and Holly. Arnold will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Arnold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; children, Brenda Snook, Shirley Woodson and Ed and his wife, Sue Howard; brother, Frank Howard; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
