Howard George Shore, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2015 surrounded by his family at Kavanagh on 56th.
Howard was born February 23, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Chester J. and Flossie M. (Cooper) Shore. He was a resident of Des Moines since 1962 and was owner of AADM Safe Way Pest Control. Howard was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, the Izaak Walton League, and Knights of Columbus.
Howard is survived by his children, Mark, Rhonda (Steve) Fucaloro, Joseph (Katie), Terri Vitiritto, and Gregory; his grandchildren: Jennifer (Frank) Daczewitz and Chad (Erin) Shore; Christina and Anthony Fucaloro; Joe (Kim), Jordan, Amanda, Madison, Logan and Connor Shore; Ashley Vitiritto, Leah (Matt) Miner, and Nicolas and Sean Vitiritto; and Alexander and Jakob Shore; and great-grandchildren: Isabella, Oliver and Francesca Daczewitz; Eva Fucaloro; Ethan Joseph Shore; and Olivia Miner. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph and his sister, Anna Marie Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; sister, Marjorie Reynolds; his father; his mother; and his step-father, Rev. Ray Johnson.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Family will begin greeting friends at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. Burial of cremated remains at Highland Memory Gardens will follow the memorial service.

So sorry to hear about Uncle Howard. His soul can now be with Aunt Marlene.
I have so many memories of him and my cousins. He was a jokester and made me laugh. He will be missed by all.

Chris sent a condolence and I agree with his message. The other thing I remember are the practical jokes they played on each other. He was one of dads best. Friends and will be missed. He always made me smile.darxy

Dear Shore Family, I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Howard. Although we moved from Iowa when I was young, I have wonderful memories of family times. God Bless you and yours, during this difficult time.

Bob had lots of fun and jabs playing pool, fishing trips and many other adventures and stories with Howard. Thoughts and prayers are with Howard's family. We know he is up in heAven making those long pool shots.
