I was saddened to hear of the loss of Gerhart, the father to four children and husband to Delores, and grandfather. I knew of him through Jane and know he meant a lot to your family. May the memories of him last forever in your hearts.

Dear Delores,
I was very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I was so glad that you could enjoy the winters together at McAllen after you retired from American Mutual Life. We had some great times there together and I remember your kindness to me as a 'kid out of school' with their first job in the city--after growing up on a farm.
I am very sorry for your loss and will be thinking of you and your family and wish you peace and comfort in knowing that others care for you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Williams

I have many good memories of Gerhart, beginning when he was dating my sister, Delores. It was a privilege being an usher in their wedding when I was only 14. My wife Donna and I will always remember he had a zest for life and he loved little children.
