Patricia Lee Stewart
January 11, 2015
Patricia Lee Stewart, 69, loving, beautiful and amazing mother of Amy, Stewart and Crystal; slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 11, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
Patricia was a woman of great strength as exemplified by her beating and surviving cancer for over 34 years. She praised God for her many blessings even in times of trouble and possessed a well of strength that amazed all who knew her. She found joy and beauty in everything. Patricia took great joy in her children and grandchildren, never missing a special occasion. She enjoyed anything she could do for others that would brighten their day and always showed compassion to others. She shared uplifting words of encouragement and bible scripture to her loved ones and strangers. Patricia also enjoyed many hobbies, gardening, music, dancing, writing letters, sending cards, and giving gifts. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making every detail of the holidays special. She will be missed more than words could ever describe. But the great and amazing faith she had in Jesus reassures us we will see her again. She found so much joy in the Lord.
A proud accomplishment for Patricia was her place on the honor roll throughout school, she always had straight A’s and never had a misspelled word on any of her papers.
Patricia is survived by her children, Amy (Jesse) Delperdang, Stewart (Sunni) Butler, and Crystal (Jamie) Lynch; her grandchildren, Patton, Nolan, and Ridley Delperdang, Oakley Lynch, and Saylor Butler; and her brother, Tom (Mary) Stewart. Patricia was reunited with her parents, Arthur and Alma Stewart; and her siblings, Gary, James and Jeanne.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Condolences may be expressed online at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Amy, Stewart, and Crystal--I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I know you will miss her dearly, but the pain is there because the love was there first. Your mom was a good friend to me, and I'm so glad I knew her. May the angels gather around you all as you adjust to this transition.

So sorry for your loss. I have enjoyed visiting with Patty over the years during our class reunions and their preparations. Our common experience was our rural school education.

Trish had her insurance for many years thru our agency in Centerville. After we took care of the insurance part then she and I would visit about our kids and grandkids. She loved her family. I always enjoyed our visits and thought of her as a friend. I will miss hearing from her.

To Pat's family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Pat was always a kind, thoughtful and good friend to my mother (Berniece Butler, Centerville-age 97). I was so thankful for her loving presence and sharing in life. May God bless all of you.
