Nick Brickman

Nick Brickman died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Des Moines. Nicholas Ryan was born on November 18, 1984 in Des Moines.

Nick played football, baseball and later became a boxer. Nick worked as a carpenter, iron worker, tree trimer and was an all-around handyman. He loved fishing, hunting and working on his uncles race car. He was very social and liked to be on the go. He enjoyed comedy and action films. He would help anyone and was a caring man. He never judged people.


Nick is survived by his parents, Dawn and Kevin Brickman; sister, Heidi; niece, Audrey; great-grandma, Leona Harper; uncles Jack and Jeff Brickman and Jimmy Harper; aunts, Linda Harris and Ann Coffie; great-uncle, Joe Harper; and numerous extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Mary Lou Harper.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street with family greeting visitors an hour prior.
