Clifford J. Romans, 77, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 due to complications of a stroke.
Clifford was born March 18, 1937 in Newton, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Connie Romans. He was a retired truck driver for EMCO Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Donna, and his only son, James D. Romans.
Clifford is survived by his two daughters, both from Des Moines, Peggy (Charles) Smith and Patti (Steven) Earp; five grandsons, Charles and James Smith, Steven and Nicholas Earp, all of Des Moines, and James Romans, Jr. of Runnells; as well as six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Patience and Damien Smith and Colby, Jacob and Jameson Romans. He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry and David Romans.
Clifford is to be cremated and a private burial service for both he and his wife, Donna is to be planned for a later date.

I miss you dad, I wander around not knowing what it is that I am supposed to do now. I know that you are finally with mom and Jimmy and that comforts me greatly. I could not have asked for a better father, you raised your children well.
