Wesley McClain

Westley R. McClain, 100, died November 22, 2006 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born September 15, 1906 to Charles and Grace McClain in Des Moines, Iowa.
He worked in the factory for Ford Motor Company and for Bell Telephone. He was a member of the Iowa Army National Guard.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Campbell on October 17, 1928 and to this union 5 children were born.
Westley is survived by his sons, Charles W. McClain, Dale E. McClain and John E. McClain, his daughter, Ruby A. Harrington, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, and his sister, Muriel Skrove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy his parents, a brother and an infant daughter.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House or to the family of Westley R. McClain.
