Vesper May Daugherty, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2015. Vesper was born on January 24, 1930 to Myrtle (Halferty) and Ralph Ansley in rural Wayne County, Iowa. Vesper has been a real encouragement to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Vesper is survived by her loving husband, Darrell; daughters, Bernita (Tony) Cicirello of Tennessee and Janet Waggoner of Des Moines; grandchildren, Gretchen (Darl) Kaldenberg of Indianola, Dustin (Alina) Waggoner of Grimes, Amy Cicirello of Tennessee, Tony (Amy) Cicirello III of Nebraska and Tina Shibley of Washington state; and numerous great-grandchildren, other family and beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.

Our hearts are saddened at the loss of Vesper, but rejoicing that she is Home with the Lord she loved and served for many years. How faithful she and Darrell have been in entertaining missionary speakers, friends, visiting speakers, and so many more. May God bless Darrell and the family as they look to God for the strength and peace that only He can give. Vesper was much loved.
