Thomas F. Martindale, Jr., 49, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at his home in Indianola.
Tom was born July 29, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Beverly and Thomas F. Martindale, Sr. He loved football and was the Dallas Cowboys’ greatest fan. Tom was very knowledgeable on many subjects and he could always make people smile. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Tom liked him. He was a very kind and gentle soul.
Tom is survived by his brothers, Bill, Jerry, Mark, Kenny and Bobby Stephens; sisters, Lori Flagg and Jackie Hemanstorfer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has occurred and there will be no services held at this time.

Tommy was a great friend to me and my husband Bob(Bubba). We have helped him alot since his father died.We have tried our best to watch out for him, as we promised his mother before her passing. We will miss his wonderful laugh, and the way he always was joking around. He will leave a empty space in our lives. Rest in peace my friend. You are with your mom,dad,& Annie once again.

Tommy (as we knew him in elementary school) was a nice guy and very well-liked. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with all members of his family.

Tom was a tenant of the apartments I used to manage before they were sold. He was a good tenant and always a pleasure to deal with. He lived in my neighborhood and I will miss seeing him taking walks to the convenience store. You have my deepest sympathies. Tom was a very nice man who will missed.

Tom and I graduated from Lincoln High School together in 1984. We were in the same homeroom at least one year. He was a kind person and I liked him. I am very sorry for your loss and hope that fond memories will sustain you in your grief. All best wishes,
