Service Details
Todd William Asher, 47, passed away on December 30, 2014 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Ave. in West Des Moines with visitation on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Saturday, January 3 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Todd was born April 17, 1967 in Louisville, KY to Marlene (Fisher) and William Asher. He graduated from St. Ambrose University with a BA in Business Administration and worked for Crawford & Company as a National General Adjustor. Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time and traveling with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Asher; daughters, Anna and Katie Asher; parents, Marlene Asher, and Bill (Linda) Asher; brother, Scott (Jennifer) Asher; half-sister, Jennifer (Jason) Wade; grandmother, Dorothy Fisher; nieces and nephews, Nick, Ben and Julia Asher, Connor, Collin and Cameron Wade; and numerous other family members.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Anna and Katie’s education, or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Dear Asher Family, I am so very sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Todd these past few years and I thought of his brave struggle often these past months. I know how much he loved his girls and he spoke of them often.

I taught the Anna and Katie at Apple Tree childrens center . I was very sadend to open the paper and see Todds name in the obituaries , my deepest condolences to Polly and the Girls .

Dear Asher Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences at this time. Something that my family and I have found to be a great source of comfort are the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28,29 where we see that there is going to be a resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death. Also at Revelation 21:4 we see that God is going to eliminate all of the causes for why we deal with sickness, sorrow, pain and even death itself. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts bring your family comfort at this time. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.

Tboughts and prayers to Polly and the girls. Todd was my best friend growing up and we truly had some fantastic times. I wish I could be there in person but pancreatic cancer has left my own father with only a few days left in this life. I'm sure heaven will be a brighter place with these two great men taking their place.

Dear Polly, Anna, and Katie, We are saddened and sorry to learn of Todd's death. Todd was such a quiet, calm, wonderful person. And he had all the right hobbies! We will not be able to be at the funeral but our thoughts and prayers will be with you and the girls. Hope to see you this summer.
