Melinda Elizabeth O'Neal

Melinda Elizabeth O’Neal, 26, went to sing with the angels and Jordan on Monday, December 29, 2014.

Melinda was born January 25, 1988 in Des Moines to Cecil and Debra O’Neal. She attended Lincoln High School and was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Melinda is survived by her parents, Cecil and Debra O’Neal; siblings, Michelle (Gerhard) Lourens and Tim O’Neal; nieces, Lexie, Bailey and Blakelee; nephews, Nathan, Bryton, Matthys; grandparents, Ed and Arlene Breitbach; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jordan O’Neal and her grandparents, Neva and Delos O’Neal.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 5930 Indianola Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to support the children’s ministries that Melinda loved.
