Patricia “Patty” Reed

Patricia Reed, 87, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born December 22, 1927.

Patricia married Richard Reed on April 27, 1948. She was an inspector for Deluxe Check Printers for over 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Patricia treasured her family and loved spending time with them any chance she had. She also served as President of her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s fan club.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Sally (Johnnie) Donison of San Pedro, CA and Jody (Scott) Sankey of Ankeny; grandchildren, Nathan and Chelsea Donison, Megan (Rockford) Anderson, and Jonathan (Mary) Sankey; great-grandchildren, Bella, Lilly, and Jacob; as well as a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Reed in 2009, and her mother, Golda Walker Biondi.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. 1st Street in Ankeny, with a private burial. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
