Sandra “Sandy” Yingst, 69, passed away at her home Christmas morning. She was born July 7, 1945 in Des Moines to Joe and Virginia McCool.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband Roger; children, Lorrie Yingst and Mark (Missy) Long; step-daughter, Alyssia Gwinn; grandchildren, Stryker Long, Rachel Lopez, Mark (Cassie) Lopez, Karson Cope, Kalan Cope and Kolten Cope; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Keenan Lopez; siblings, Grace (Dick) Nelson, Donna (Bob) Seiberling, Linda (Jim) Rudolf, Craig (Linda) McCool, Melodie (Barry) Biondi and Doug (Debbie) McCool; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Avon Cemetery.

such a wonderful woman Sandy was,always kind and friendly to everyone.she could be a little ornery which made her even more special,i will miss her dearly. glad i have many memories--RIP dear friend

My thoughts are with you Roger, Lorrie, and Mark. Sandy was a wonderful woman and will be missed. I am thankful to have been priveledged to know her all these years. She honestly was a genuine person and I will never forget the kindness and love she has shown me. May God Bless you all in the days ahead.
