Arlene E. Bradshaw

Arlene E. (Marquett) Bradshaw was born July 9, 1923 in Franklin, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Francis) Marquett. She grew up in Mitchellville and then moved to Des Moines after marrying William Bradshaw. Arlene and William loved to camp and enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Arkansas. Arlene worked for the State of Iowa in the IRS division for most of her life during tax time, but was mainly a house wife and homemaker.

Arlene passed away peacefully Christmas Eve at Genesis Senior Living Center at the age of 91.

There will be a graveside service at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines.

Arlene is survived by her grandchildren Tammy (Tim) Parker and Randy (Leslie) Bradshaw, great-grandchildren Ashley and Randy Jr., a niece and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William Bradshaw, son Richard Bradshaw, daughter-in-law Diana Bradshaw, brother Melvin Marquett, and grandson Richard Bradshaw Jr.
