Dorothy Seuferer

Dorothy Arline (Furry) Seuferer, 90, passed away peacefully at home Monday, December 22, 2014.

Dorothy was born September 19, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar and Mable (Sandy) Furry. She is survived by her son, Robert (Kathy) McMains; grandchildren, Darrell (Connie) Brown Jr., Julie Brown, Danny (Diane) McMains, Krissy (Tom) Stoll, and Jodie Cooper; siblings, Eddie (Mary) Furry and Carol Larpenter; as well as many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Judith Ann Richards and Thomas McMains; grandson, Robbie McMains; siblings, Virginia and Margaret; and husbands, Robert F. McMains, Wendell Piper, and Larry Seuferer.

Services will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Family will begin greeting friends at 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
