Boun Baccam

Mr. Boun Baccam, 64, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014. He was born August 12, 1950 in Pakxan, Laos, one of nine children of Keo Panxiengvong and Sa Panxiengvong. Three brothers and two sisters are surviving; one brother and two sisters precede him in death. He worked as a machinist for Vermeer Manufacturing and was a member of the Wat Lao Buddavath Temple and other Tai Dam cultural organizations. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed vacationing and traveling.

Mr. Baccam is survived by his wife Phoun Baccam, son Paul Baccam, daughter-in-law Sangvandy Chanthasone, granddaughter Sora Baccam, son-in-law Hector Gonzalez, daughter Angie Naly Gonzalez, granddaughter Alana Gonzalez, and grandson Christopher Gonzalez.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Burial of cremated remains will take place in the Tai Dam section of Glendale Cemetery at 9:30 am Thursday, December 11.
