Pee Wee Aldini

Pee Wee, 85, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014. He was born November 3, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa to Luigi and Palmina Aldini. He was perceived as a big gruff man, but was actually a good-hearted teddy bear. He retired from SuperValu in 1992 after 39 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War and liked to eat, watch TV, and sit out on the patio. Pee Wee was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed the Knoxville races.

Pee Wee is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances; children, Bill (Tammy) Aldini, Dave Aldini (Lois Robbins), Theresa (Skip) Hansen, and Jodi Aldini; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his brother, Louis Aldini. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers.

There will be a graveside service held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Food Bank of Iowa or the American Cancer Society.
