Donald Hall

Donald O. Hall, 73 died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. The visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 20 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday at the funeral home with burial following at the Masonic Cemetery.
Donald was born April 22, 1934 in Des Moines to Owen and Louise Hall. He graduated from Lincoln High and was a Southsider all his life. Donald owned Hall Printing and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Donald coached little All-American football, was president of Izaac Walton League, president of the Des Moines Club of Printing House Craftsman, president of Echo Valley Country Club, a member of the Hyperion Country Club, a member of the Southgate Masonic Lodge and a lifelong member of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. He had a genuine interest in learning new technologies. He was an outdoorsman who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends.
Donald is survived by his wife Marge; his mother Louise Hall; his son Craig Hall; his daughter Marla (Greg) Fay; his grandchildren Crystal, Corey, Chase, Sierra, Channell and Grant; his great grandchildren Alexander and Mason. Donald was preceded in death by his father Owen Hall.
Memorial contributions can be made to Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.
