Ronald D. Soto

Ronald D. Soto, 54, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Ronald was born February 3, 1960 in Panama City, Panama to Julio Soto and Nancy (Newland) Soto Crooks. He was a very kind and polite person. Ronald had a child-like innocence and a positive outlook on life. He loved food and his favorite meal was spaghetti. Ronald like to sketch and watch scary movies and sci-fi movies; Dr. Who was his favorite. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ronald is survived by his mother, Nancy Crooks; siblings, Nancy (Ed) Green, Jackie (JoeOllie) Soto, Julie Soto, Annette (John) Carter, and Alena (Pat) Soto-Derry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julio Soto; his grandparents; and his nephew, Ramsey Soto.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
