Ronald James Burk, 62, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Methodist.
Ronald was born September 19, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA. to Cecila (Grettis) and James Burk. He served his country proudly and loyally in the United States Army and retired in 1992 after many years of service. He enjoyed his church, computers, reading and his cats.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Allison Coullietteburk and his loving daughter, Elizabeth Burk.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 5930 Indianola Ave, Des Moines, IA with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Bloomfield United Methodist Church in memory of Ronald.

The words 'good and faithful servant' are what pop to mind when I think of Ron. He loved to share his faith and his understanding of God's word. He also had a good sense of humor! Blessings to all his family and friends during this time. He will be greatly missed.

Ron will be greatly missed at Bloom2! I enjoyed getting to know him and learning from his example of strong faith! Condolences to his family on their loss.... know that he was cared about by many!

I will greatly miss seeing Ron sit behind me at the 11am Bloom2 church services. When the rest of us couldn't carry a tune, I could hear his beautiful voice behind me. I feel fortunate to have gotten to know him.
