Larry Raymond Gilbert

Larry Raymond Gilbert, 66, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service and burial will take place at a later date.
Larry was an Army veteran. He served in Korea. He later served as a U.S. government employee in Germany and the U.S. until his retirement in 2001. Larry actively supported an orphanage in Belarus, Russia, making several trips delivering supplies.
Larry is survived by his son, Michael Gilbert; brothers, Rick (Ellen)Rynning and Harley Rynning; sisters, Judy (Wesley) Winterbottom, Gwen (Galen) Kurth and Dene (Ernie) Trulson; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Laura Rynning; sister, Helen Tolbert and his infant son, Mark.
