John Hutchinson

John “A.J.” Hutchinson, 65, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Knoxville, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from two hours prior to the service.
John was born November 7, 1941in Des Moines to Paul and Irene Hutchinson. He was a Green Beret with the U.S. Army, Special Forces. John owned and operated a stump removal service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Hawkeye Jamboree. He once wrestled a bear at Sorenson’s Gym. John loved racing cars and singing country western, rock and roll and Elvis songs.
John is survived by his sisters, Pamela Tharp of Missouri and Mary Pollock of Des Moines; brothers, Russell Hutchinson of Mediapolis and Steve Hutchinson of Newton; and his beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Hutchinson, Sr.

I have known A.J. all of my life, he was a very dear (lifelong) friend of my Mom & Aunt Sandy (Snethen)Lindenberg, and Nancy (Snethen)Chumbley. He will be deeply missed.
