Maxine Mitchell

Maxine Faye Mitchell, 83, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Maxine was born January 12, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harold and Isabell Wharff. She was primarily a homemaker her adult life. She was a talented quilter and enjoyed crocheting. Maxine liked being outdoors. She appreciated lovely flowers and had fond memories of camping and boating trips with her family.

She is survived by her children, Terry Mitchell (Cheryl), Mike Mitchell (Michelle), and Diane Millard (Donnie); grandchildren, Stacy VanGundy (Donovan), Matt Mitchell, Shawna Hughes (Lonnie), Joshua Babcock, and Daniel Mitchell; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Loretta Bork (Larry).

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Mitchell, and brother, Herbert “Bud” Wharff.

Cremation has occurred and the family will celebrate privately at a later date.
