Mary Ellen Moyer, 87, was born July 31, 1927 in Griggsville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Clark) Bartlett. She passed away peacefully Monday, November 3, 2014 at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona.
Mary is survived by her son, Kevin (Diane) Moyer of Plymouth, Minnesota; daughter, Mary Ann (Roger) Duncan of Altoona, Iowa; granddaughters, Ellen (Scott) Bell, Gwen (Randy) Martin and Tanya Duncan; great-grandchildren, Sophia Bell, Bridget Bell and Martin Lunsford; other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Moyer; brothers, Wilbur Bartlett and Max Bartlett and her sister, Norma Jean Anders.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with memorial services to begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home in Quincy, Illinois with graveside services to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be designated to a few of her favorite charities in loving memory of Mary.

Mary and Charlie were something great to come out of something bad. Both wonderful people. I was very close with Mary. I know she would have wanted me at her funeral and sorry I didnt get the chance to say goodbye to her.

Mary Ann and Roger, I am saddend by your loss of such an amazing women. I will always remember my working days with Mary at Ceco in the Data Center. She was so wonderful to me! The Heavens just received another amazing angel! My thought and prayers are with all of you!

Kevin and Mary Ann and families - I was so sad today when Mom called to tell me about Mary. Another part of our "family" is now gone and there will never be another Mary (or Charlie). I know all of the Harshbarger "kids" will be forever grateful that we had the Moyer's in our lives. I wish I could be there for you but Florida is a long way from home...just know that I'm sending love and tons of hugs your way!

Ellen and family, so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember her always calling for coffee and she would drive up to the door as close as possible so I could run it out to her. God bless her.
