Dennis L. Bergeson

Dennis Bergeson, 60, died unexpectedly in Coralville on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was born November 9, 1953 to Leonard and Hila Bergeson in Webster City.

Dennis worked as a security guard for Per Mar Security in the Ruan Building and also was courier for the Des Moines Register. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Kathy Bergeson; children, Ryan (Jenny) Bergeson of Memphis, MO, Amber (Mark Baltes) Bergeson of Charles City, and Christopher (Vicki) Bergeson of Charles City; grandchildren, Reece, Jaden, Kaleb, and Brynlee; brother, James (Kay) Bergeson of Webster City; sisters, Nancy Blomgren of Stanhope and Barb (Dave) Hill of Ames; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bergeson; many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Hila Bergeson; brother, Edward Bergeson; and brother-in-law, Chet Blomgren..

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW with cremation to follow services. Family will greet friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
