Jean Hollingsworth

Jean Keegan-Hollingsworth, 83, of Des Moines passed away Monday September 10, 2007. Services will be 11A.M. Saturday, September 15th Park Avenue Christian Church with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery.
Jean was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on February 25, 1924 to Charles and Blanche Keegan. She moved to Des Moines at age 5 and attended Maple Grove Elementary School and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She married John Hollingsworth on September 19, 1942. They raised two daughters on the Southside of Des Moines. Jean was very outgoing and will be missed by her many friends and family.
Jean is survived by her husband John; her daughters, Patricia (John) Hall and Pam (Terry) Smith; her grandchildren, Greg, Beth, Jeff, and Sarah and her great grandchildren Sofia and Henry.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Altzheimers Association.
